Van de Graaff Generator and Popcorn

Description:

The Van de Graaff generator creates a net charge which is transferred to the Styrofoam pieces in the cup. The pieces are now alike in charge to the generator. The charged pieces repel each other and the generator, causing them to be projected away from the other pieces and the generator.
